Show action based on if a row already has todays date

HI everyone, I'm a new user so please be nice 🙂

I'm trying to create an app that allows me to take down information at different intervals in the day (Morning, Afternoon, Evening)

I can get it all to work fine, but what I would like to be able to do just to reduce errors and keep the data neat is only show the ADD button when the DATE column doesn't contain todays date and equally to show an action that will edit the row that does contain todays date.

to make it clear, the columns of morning, afternoon and evening are all on one row and only show at the relevant time of day and I would like to avoid accidentally adding a new row when one already exists for today
