Starting app from user's last view

Is it possible to save the user’s context(“view”) just prior to app closing so that when the user relaunches the app, it opens in that view?

To the best of my knowledge, if the app is soft-closed (working in the background app drawer of the mobile device) than it might open with the last UX left before closing. Otherwise the app will sync and it will open with the Initial View set.
