Can someone explain what's wrong with this expression:

TIME(
HOUR([Pick Up Time]),
MINUTE([Pick Up Time]) - 30
)

I keep getting an error. I am just trying to take a time and take off 30 minutes.

I think your syntax for time is incorrect. The expression concatenates time in an incorrect manner by using a comma rather than ":". And the expression will not know if 30 is hour or minutes.

Could you please instead try

[Pick up Time] -"00:30:00"

assuming [Pick up Time] is a time type column.
