The benefits of "Deploying"?

Hi,

What’s the difference between deploying an app and not deploying it? Specifically for a small team (less than 10 users)? I looked on the help sheet and it says Deploying the app is an “exciting part of the development process” but it doesn’t really say what the benefits are. I understand for teams of over 10 users, its a requirement and the associated licence fees, but for smaller teams, is there any benefit? Can we keep using the app as we have been for the time being without deploying?

One big thing is that Bot emails will only go to the app-owner, you have to deploy if you want emails to be sent anywhere else.
