Unable to login Appsheet app with Google account

I have troubles to login the Appsheet app itself on Android 8. When prompted to login via a service (e.g. Google, Microsoft, Dropbox), I go on Google and receive a prompt to install Chrome. I do have it installed though. I tried un- and reinstalling it, setting it as standard browser, neither worked.

The login works with different services, e.g. my Outlook account. However, this is suboptimal, since my company account is a Google, thus I’d have to share the apps to my private account.

Any workaround for this? Or did I miss something obvious here?
