Updating a white-labeled app by copying a non white-labeled development version of the app

My question is regarding updating white labeled apps. I read through the information Here but it does not explicitly answer what I'm looking for. 

If I upgrade a white label app from a copy that I used to make changes, will the inputs on the Manage>Deploy>White-Label tab be cleared as a result of the upgrade since the copied app is not white labeled? I'm hoping that I can upgrade the production app from a the copy without having to re-do the white labeling every time.

Once you whitelable an App you have to change than specific App. If you copy the whitelable App, the copy is not whitelabelled.
