Users not getting latest version of app

I have made changes to my app, but users are not getting them  I am not using a stable version:

But when a user clicks on the link to my app in a browser, then then clicks About, they see this:

So they are 8 version behind the latest.  Is this a bug?

EDIT:  Was able to force the latest version by telling the user to clear his browser cache of everyhing all time (except passwords.)  But it is a very ugly workaround.

Thanks,

Scott

I do believe this is a bug.
I have encountered the same thing for an app where we are using Stable Versions.  In some cases it seems it take up to a couple of days before the correct version "catches" up.  I even encountered a case where I could clearly see in the logs that a user went through a progression of recent Stable versions throughout the day before landing on the most recent version.

I think I posted about it - i'll try to find the post - but I don't remember of I opened a ticket to AppSheet support.  Now that someone else seems to be having the same problem, there is more clout in submitting the issue.

Force a refresh with Ctrl-F5 often works, and is less disruptive than manually clearing the cache.

What about mobile devices?

I had an instance just yesterday where a user was on version 1417 (about 2 weeks ago) but the current Stable version was 1464.  There have been at least 6 Stable versions pushed since version 1417 and this user has been using the app almost daily.

I went through Recovery Mode...no good.  Then Reset Changes and a Sync...app still showed old version.  Finally had user logout and login which seemed to correct and update the app version.  Unfortunately, user now needs to re-enter about 20 different important edits from yesterday where memory is not best.

How can we prevent this?  More importantly, how can we detect, across 100+ different users that their app versions are not updating, before errors occur, and they need to take additional steps to update their app?

Sorry, I was just responding to OP, specifically:

I agree with you, there are issues with new app versions not getting loaded.

Has a case opened for this, since it seems to be a bug?  If not, I will open one.

If a case has been opened, may I have the case number?

Thanks,

Scott

I have not submitted a ticket for this.

I have just faced the same problem as mentioned in your discussion. It completely confused me andmade my users astonished because what I m truing toserve them. Yes, because users dont understand such a mess. For me it was disaster and I was trying to find out bug I did. Butthere was no bug done by me. I found a lot of discussions aroud net about that issue. Your opinions arethe best. Today I used that fix proposed here and after lik was edited users started to use my app. But Icant find what is a root cause of that problem and if that solution is permanent, not causing another troubles. Pleae let me know about if you can. I put official complaint to google support. First uswer was to remove users from sharing, deploy last version of app, clearcash in users browsers and share app again. But it is crazy bad solution. Maybe as a rescue modeI could use it once but not permanent for sure. This is not problem solution but   running away from even looking for it. I repeated complaint and Specialists Team have been working from Friday. I still hope they can propose something because such a bug means that Appsheet is not ready for industrial environment but can be served as a toy insated. I put a lot of timeto prepare app based on long workflow thruogh all structure of company and in the end I hit in a concrete wall. Thank you all for that brilliant discussion. Without you I could be in a deep troubles because it is me who convinced my colleagues to use Appsheet to do our project. In that time I trusted Google but now... its killing me every day and I lost positive feeling to that product. Everyone from my users team was served different version of app in the same time(!)

Is this issue solved? I am also facing the same issue

Sir, google specialists team is constantly working. Idont know what they are fighting with because they try to avoid to keep me well informed. But I refused to accept it and that issue was closed and opened 3 times. There was a little change. My users cant see somearchived version now. But they are jumping from stable to latest. I have enterprise plan in company thats why I can use that stable configuration. App in browser I can use now without that ?refresh=1&wipe=1 inside but it is not finally solved. I willkeep them working but I think we have to press on them from many sides. You can use google.support.com and let them know about your problem and that you now that there is a guy asking them whole month about the same. Just to keep them working.
