Using Appsheet Virtual Column Data in Excel Source

I am new to appsheet and I am trying to get data from a virtual column to use in excel. When I view the table a tab opens that has all the columns of information that are generated by the app. If I view the source it opens an excel sheet and it only shows columns that are not virtual that I created. Is it possible to have the virtual column data exported to excel so I can link it to other excel worksheets? Is this because I am using the free version?

Hello, @ihigham,

Virtual Column only “live” on the user’s device. They do not get saved back to the sheet.

This is because each device calculates the result independently-- and may not have the same value as the next user.

The VC formula could take an input from the USEREMAIL(), Device ID, or other data that’s unique to that device. So each user has the sheet data, plus their own set of VC data.

If you’d like to see the full set of data with VC’s for a specific user, try the CSV download feature.
