I have a column of type Video that is behaving strangly. It appears fine in a detail view, but does not show in a form view.
Additionally, instead of a blank/blue checkmark, the EDITABLE? property has a gray checkmark that I cannot change.
Anybody know why it is doing this, and how to fix it?
Thanks

It is not allowed.
@Scott_Nesbitt wrote:If not, should I use a text field, then on the detail screen have a derived field?
That's a reasonable workaround, yep!
@Scott_Nesbitt wrote:If that is the case, what is the Video column type for?
I think it's meant for publishing preexisting videos.
Right, I am not trying to capture/upload video, I just want to use the form to paste in a link to a video. Is that not allowed? If not, should I use a text field, then on the detail screen have a derived field? If that is the case, what is the Video column type for?

The workaround worked great, thanks for the response.
Hi Scott,
I am having the same issue and am a bit of a newbie. Can you give some direction as to how you used a "derived field" to allow users to input a video url in a form to upload to the app?
My Video input field is of type Text, and has this display name:
"Video (If hosted on Drive, must be an MP4 and in this format: https://drive.google.com/uc?id= )"
Then I have a Video Derived field like this:
Hope this helps.
This worked beautifully! Thank you Scott!
