What does this golden triangle mean that now appears next to a REF column in a form?

The REF type column shows the correct data and seems to be working correctly but why the triangle?

When I’ve encountered this, it’s meant that I’ve changed the name of a selection option in my reference table. If you edit the record and click on the drop down it should show you your current selection and then give you the option to make a new selection.

Basically it means a broken reference. For example if you have deleted only the parent record, your child records will show this triangle.
