White circle around app icon on Android home screen

I've created 4 different apps and I've added custom app logos for them.

When the apps are installed on Android and a shortcut to each app is added to the Android home screen, 3 of the app logos have white circles but 1 of the apps (the Analytics one) does not have a white circle!

Why is this?? All 4 app logos are PNGs of 512x512 pixels with transparent background. I would like there to be NO white circle - just the full logo.

This is your App Launcher's behaviour

How do you know? Can you provide links with more information? My phone is Pixel 7 Pro, so it's the stock Android launcher...

To get rid of these white circles, you have to make sure the logo is perfectly round.

No details can go beyond the edge of the circle, as you can see where i highlighted below.

Makes sense... I guess there are some rules or guidelines somewhere explaining the behaviour of the Pixel Launcher and round icons.

Your explanation seems congruent with the fact that the Chrome icon doesn't show the white border, as mentioned by someone online
