Wht is that Dot that shows up over the menu icon ocassionally?

I have noticed a dot appearing over the “hamburger” menu on my iPhone (see pic below). I can’t say that I’ve seen this in the emulator. This dot appears automatically and stays longer at times than others.

Is this signifying background syncing or some such activity?

Hello. That dot shows up when the app is downloading images. If you click the menu when it shows up, it’ll display the progress of how many images are downloaded. Images are downloaded in the background and are saved so you can view your app offline. We’re working on a more helpful and obvious way to indicate what’s happening in the future.

@morgan Thank you for the explanation. After I posted, I did see the image download message on the Menu though I wasn’t sure if it was related.

FYI, I have seen the image download run during the same app session on several occasions. Is this expected behavior? Why would it need to download more than once?
