Why new Virtual Columns appear on all existing Slices?

What's the reasoning behind new VC being added to all slices?

Once I create a slice and select the columns pertinent to it I expect no other columns to be added to it.

You can go to slices and remove it where not needed

This is not an answer.

This is how it's designed. Idea behind it is probably.. most of the cases new column is needed rather than the opposite.

I would like to know the idea behind it. Because in my case, where I have around 10 slices in a table, every time I add a new VC transversing all slices and to remove the new VC is super annoying.
