Workflow PDF adding a list from another table

Hi, please can someone help?

I have a workflow rule that triggers an email with an attachment PDF. I have all the info from the record attached to the PDF, but I am having trouble with getting my child info into the PDF which is a list, well 2 lists actually. So the 2 tables linked to my main table are done so using the formula REF_ROWS(“Status Update”,“Alloc ID”) for one table and the other REF_ROWS(“Materials Used”,“Alloc ID”), both are field type list. is it possible to pull a list into a PDF this way? I have read documentation that says I ned to use a dereference but that won’t work? any help would be appreciated, thanks
