modify card layout?

Is it possible to modify the card layout? I have some views where the compact card would be perfect but it would be better served with four rows instead of two. 

I've tried virtual rows and they are ok but it would be good if I could modify the card layout slightly.

Nope, the card layout options are limited to those given in the view configuration screen.
