"minus" character in list subtraction

When writing an expression with a list subtraction, the expression editor is not recognizing the “long” minus character, but no errors nor warnings are given.
So, the short minus “-” is okay, whilst the long one “–” is not working

In AppSheet, there is no such thing as a “long minus sign” - the system will interpret that as… something it doesn’t understand.

Where, or how, does one even produce a long minus sign by typing?
