Permission denied by location policies using me-central-2

Hey folks,

I'm wondering if anyone else ran into the same issue as me when trying to set up a new GKE cluster in a specific region (me-central2). Every time I try to create a Kubernetes cluster or a container registry, give me this errors "Permission denied by location policies." Any idea what's causing this, and can you help me figure out how to fix it?

I found here: https://cloud.google.com/docs/dammam-region-access#non-ksa-based_customers that free trial users are not allowed create resources unless they are setup for invoiced billing?

Hi @AmalSalah,

Welcome to the Google Cloud Community!

Yes, you are correct. You need a certain billing account to provision resources in me-central-2. So, this is not an issue but working as intended.

For more information, you can view my answer in this GCC thread.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response.

Could you please clarify what you mean by 'certain billing account'? There is no trial?

Is payment required for using me-central-2?
