I have been receiving messages that my Google account storage is full. To avoid buying more storage, I subsequently deleted well over 300 GB of files (photos, emails, attachments, etc). I emptied my trash and it's still showing that my Account storage is full. Can you help? Again, I don't want to buy more storage. I just want the storage space that I freed up. Thank you.

Hello @jennifrye  ,Welcome on Google Cloud Community.

I'm assuming that you are referring to Workspace storage ( Drive, Gmail, etc). 
Please follow this[1] guide to check and cleanup your data.
