Context:
This idea comes from my question/original post: PDF generation process optimisation -> is it possible ?
As said there, I found to much 30 seconds for the generation of a quite simple PDF (based on Google Doc).
As I understood, contacting the AppSheet Support (the person was very good to explain to me the things), AppSheet takes into accounts all the tables, data for the generation of the PDFs.
Even if you need the data from only 1 table.
This is for sure resource consuming (and for me, there is no reason to be like this. )
IDEA:
instead of "passing all tables" for the generation of the PDF, why not to give the possibility to define which tables should be considered for the PDF.
A new parameter inside the BOT, a dropdown, that permits to say:
* ok for this report I want only the table1
* for this report (another one, another bot), I want to consider Table1, Table3 and Table5.
I think that this will reduce a lot the time necessary for simple PDF.
