The apps should sync even in background or if the device is locked

Hi there,

On iOS, once the app is in background or the device is locked , the app enters a paused state. Ideally a sync should resume once the app is foregrounded again.

Android continues running JS when the app goes into the background for some non-deterministic period of time, while iOS immediately pauses.

In my area of applications, it is very handy that the apps syncs even when the device is locked. In other words : when the phone is in the pocket of the user.

The user gains a lot of time. Besides, it would reassure that the data is saved.

I didn't realize that an Android device would continue syncing like that...That is interesting. Definitely a nuisance that Apple won't, but I'm sure someone will weigh in here and explain why it's not feasible...
