So, I recently got an idea to put route track option for all the users on the globe.
This can be implemented by just putting a start journey to start the journey and Stop journey to stop the tracking of the journey. This in my opinion will help both the Google and the User. For Google, new interesting routes will be now available, and for users they will be able to see the total journey information in the app itself.
This can be put in background and can be stopped if the journey doesn't continue within 24 or 48 hours.
To conserve the user's phone battery, Google can make it send user location on every 1 or 2hr if the route is already present, else can record the location every 15 mins on a new route.
