Hi everyone, as shared in a previous announcement, we're excited to share the revamped community ranking system and badges are now live!

With the new ranking system, we want to emphasize that:
- Badges are unlocked by completing a certain amount of an activity, whereas ranks are tied to completing a combination of activities, including giving and receiving likes, authoring posts and solutions, and engaging in the comments.
- Avatar icons are assigned to members to signify a unique status, role, or achievement in the broader Google Cloud ecosystem, including Google Staff, Innovators, Innovators Plus, and Champion Innovators.
Tip 👉 If you want to climb the ranks, take a look at your contributions, as shown on your profile page, to see if there are any community contribution areas that can use additional attention.
For example, are you creating a lot of new posts, but not answering as many? See if there are any posts where you can lend your help in the comments ✅
Are you authoring solutions, but not sharing kudos (likes) with other community members? Help spread the kudos and encouragement to other members 👍 and don't forget to mark a response as an Accepted Solution if someone helped answered your question.
We believe this new ranking system will:
- Help motivate us to share our best, knowing quality contributions are being recognized
- Make recognition easier, with clearer ranks and visuals to help everyone better understand and appreciate each other’s contributions
- Create a more inclusive and dare we say, fun! community with opportunities and space for everyone to grow and be recognized
With these changes, the heart of the community remains the same. Grounded in our community guidelines, we want to create a trusted space for you to ask questions and find answers, learn and grow your skills, stay informed, and make meaningful connections with peers, Innovators, and Googlers.
