This feature is being rolled out gradually. It is currently deployed to 100% of free users.

Bug fixes

Item Description
Bug Fixes an issue where "Auto assigned" columns and actions wouldn't show the assigned value.
Bug Fixes an issue that caused edits to Initial Value expressions to break its evaluation in client apps.

Feature AppSheet apps for desktop users (Preview)

The new desktop design, currently in preview, is optimized for desktop browsers, presenting a more complete view of information with a consistent organization and structure. The new desktop design lets users navigate their apps more easily and access information in context, and provides an efficient way to edit existing records without losing context. The legacy desktop design, enabled by default, provides an experience similar to the mobile and tablet device.

Are you saying that sending direct email to support and posting feedback in the community isn't that crucial, but if I give feedback here, it will be taken seriously? If that's the case, I'll definitely send my feedback through this.

I agree with @Rifad .

There is no value in just what we can feed back.
It is what we get out of giving feedback that is important.

For example, it would be great if the following things are done.

  • The issue will be added to the Feature idea and its status will be updated.
  • Publication of the Known issue list.

I think I am interpreting this as a quicker way to directly send feedback while actively using the AppSheet UI, instead of having to bounce to the AppSheet Community page to post bugs/errors/feedback. I am a firm believer in the feedback cycle, so I am glad they are providing more paths to provide that feedback. I also see this as a win from the perspective that it goes

instead of relying on AppSheet support doom-scrolling through the community page, as they could easily miss something. Time will tell, and this is only the beginning. I haven't had to submit feedback with the new mechanic, but I look forward to giving it a try.
