Building A knowledge base for Internal Employees / External Clients

Hopefully this is the right area to ask this question, if not, I apologize.

Looking for a way to build / create a searchable knowledgebase site that looks at documents in our companies Google Drive. This would be for internal employees and external clients, and the access would be based upon the permissions they have on their account.  The "buckets" of documents could be separate as well, but unfortunately from what I can tell, there is no way to limit the cloud search on Google Cloud Search or on the Google Sites cloud search. Does anyone know of a solution / a product that integrates well with Google for this?

So Google Drive has a pretty good API and I know that Elastic have a search connector for it:
