GCPW for Windows 11

Hi ,

Good day.

I would like to check is there anyone has experience to link or connect their window device (Windows 11) to Google Workspace ?

I downloaded the Google Credential Provider for Workspace to my Windows 11 machine. On top of that, I have also enrolled the device in Admin console. However, when i tried to use my window device to sign in using Google Credential, it wasn't successful.

Is there a limitation for GCPW, or is the latest support is only up to Windows 10 ?

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Ricky Ho

Did you set the enrollment token to allow your domain users to login? https://support.google.com/a/answer/10030761?hl=en
alternatively, you can download GCPW from the admin console instead, it will have the right token embedded if you download from the enrollment token.

Hi,

Adding formal Windows 11 support is in our roadmap but it should work without any modification to GCPW. Whatโ€™s the error you are seeing on the device? Can you also look at the windows event viewer for any errors?

Hi @emreknlk

Thank you for the input.

In fact, I was trying to download GCPW from this link : https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gcpw/ .

After downloaded GCPW, the google logo appears in my login screen at the window machine. However, when i click login, it said the admin doesn't allow you to login. Then, i checked on the Admin Console of my account, it appeared as device managed and enrolled to my credential.

I wasn't sure why.

Hi @emreknlk , thank you for the link. It is working now in Windows 11 after embedded the token from Admin Console.

Since you've already downloaded GCPW and enrolled your device in the Admin Console, you should be able to sign in using your Google Credential on your Windows 11 Pro device. However, if you're having trouble or it's not working, you might want to double-check your settings.
