One of the users are getting this message when trying to send an email to a Yahoo email address. We have confirmed the address is corrent but it keeps getting blocked.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
As a guess:
How is the user sending the message? Does this error still occur if theyโre using the Gmail web client, logged directly into the account theyโre trying to send from?
If that method works, what platform/client/technique are they attempting to use to send the message when it gets blocked? Whatever that is, itโs almost definitely misconfigured.
Hope that helps,
Ian
@Toby-Pratt The domain needs to set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. -KAM
Hey
A user is unable to send emails to Yahoo addresses, receiving an error message. The Yahoo address is confirmed to be correct.
Steps to Resolve:
Verify Sender Reputation: Check if the sender's email domain or IP address has been blacklisted by Yahoo. You can use online tools like MXToolbox: or Sender Score: to check for blacklisting.
Check for Authentication Issues: Ensure proper email authentication protocols like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are configured for the sender's domain. These protocols help verify the sender's identity and reduce the likelihood of being marked as spam.
Review Content and Attachments: Analyze the content of the emails being sent to Yahoo addresses. Check for any content that might trigger Yahoo's spam filters, such as excessive promotional language, unusual attachments, or suspicious links.
Contact Yahoo Support: If the issue persists, reach out to Yahoo Mail support directly. They may have more specific information about the sender's reputation or can provide further troubleshooting steps.
Additional Tips:
By following these steps and considering the additional tips, you can increase the chances of resolving the email delivery issues to Yahoo addresses for your users.
