On Google TV or Android TV, I can't use a USB webcam with the Google Meet app.

Hi,

I have a question about Google TV or Android TV. I can connect a USB webcam to it and use Skype or other video conferencing apps to do video calls. However, when I use the Google Meet app, I get an error message saying "No webcam." I also tried to log in to the web version of Meet using Chrome, but the USB webcam is still grayed out and cannot be selected. Is Google Meet only compatible with certain webcams?

Thanks~

Hi, I have tested many times. The settings are correct, the permissions are enabled, and the USB camera name appears, but it is grayed out and cannot be selected.

Hi, I assume you're using a USB webcam. Only a few webcams are supported by Chromecast with Google TV, for example, the Logitech C922 Pro. For more information, please refer to https://youtu.be/uwSRep-mUP8?si=EOP5MegIZa7_1CJR&t=810
