Adding a calendar event from a different view

Hello,
In my project management app I’ve created a view called “Project Scheduler” that shows the different stages of progression of the project. When the project reaches the right stage I want to schedule the next stage. I’d like to schedule the event from the Project Scheduler view instead of performing the action in the regular calendar view. I’m unsure of how to do this. Does anyone have any ideas?
