Any chance of iWork numbers as a data source in the future?

Knowing Apple, I appreciate that the chances are low, but I just thought I’d throw in the question

as it is my favorite go-to spreadsheet app for a variety of reasons.

Unfortunately, I’m not aware of an API to interact with the data in Numbers
