Anyone run into this issue when copying an app that has smartsheet data source to a new sql data source?

Is there an easy workaround?

@Harry you might need to revisit this…

@Tammi_Canelli I’m going to let @Harry explain this one.

How many columns do you have?

(Tammi Canelli) #4

about 85 - is there a column limit in sql?

(Grant Stead) #5

@Tammi_Canelli Not exactly, The new versions of SQL don’t have the low limit that is listed in that “error” message. I think some work has to be done to get “off row” storage, and appsheet makes some assumptions about what you have… so each CHAR is likely around 2bytes…

So, if you have long text and someone writes a novel…

I actually have no idea what i’m talking about… docs.microsoft.com - Maximum Capacity Specifications for SQL Server | Microsoft Docs Maximum Capacity Specifications for SQL Server | Microsoft Docs docs.microsoft.com

@Grant_Stead

Grant, I think Tammi is using mySQL.

@Tammi_Canelli @Grant_Stead

Tammi here is a link to some stuff on mySQL.

Whoever has set it up for your use may need to do some tinkering.
