Apply formatting in background

Hello

I’ve added a format rule to my data which works as expected. The problem is that the rule is only applied after I edit each record. Is there anyway to update all records in the background and apply the format rule?

Hi @Paul_Grindley. Does your format rule’s condition depend on a column with an app formula? The reason I ask is an app formula in a non-virtual column is only recomputed when the row is edited. If this is the case, then the easiest thing might be to directly update the cells in your sheet to have the needed value. More info here

If this isn’t the case, could you post more information about your format rule’s condition and the columns it depends on?
