assign a different task

Is it possible to assign a different task to another person in the same table when a task has been completed? It is similar to the predecessor tasks used in project management.

Perhaps by using a workflow when that table is updated and a task has just been completed. Find the next task awaiting completion and assign the same user to it. Or do nothing if no more tasks available.
