Autocompute

I have data sent to google sheets by api and from there to the appsheet.
Is there a way for the autocompute formula to work on columns of rows added by directly to the sheet not by the app?

AppSheet expressions can use data from any columns the app is configured for.

correct if i’m wrong but they won’t work automatically on data that was received not via the app. i.e. the data was sent from external api to sheets, the app doesn’t make calculations on them. At least that’s how it works for me.
