Automatically log emails/text messages

If I click on the email or text message icon from within an app and execute said email or text message, is there a way that AppSheet can log that activity automatically so that there is an evergreen report of this type of activity? Can it link that activity to the record (Contact) that owns that email or mobile number for text messages (like a CRM)? Thank you.

These buttons simply open an external app on your device with contact info pre-filled. Appsheet has no control and no vision of what does or does not happen after the button is clicked.

You could replace those Action buttons with your own Grouped Actions that record some value/record, and then execute the email/text Action. But still, the user could simply exit out of the external app without doing anything, and now you have false data.
