Battery Drain?

One of my pilot users is indicating that there is significant battery drain on his iphone when using the app. Is it dependent in any way on how many times they sync? If so, is there a way to turn off auto-sync so they can do it less in the field?

Battery drain would occur if the app is trying to connect to the network to sync in the background.

Can you disable background sync totally (just enable Delayed Sync) to see if this helps?

I checked and Delayed sync has been on the whole time. Every other option under Offline/Sync is also checked. Could one of those be causing the issue?

It is possible that the automatic backgroudn sync option is the one causing the issue — especially if the network appears to be available but actually isn’t.

The other thing that might be draining battery is GPS
