Card View On Click Problem

Card view. Layout: Backdrop. When you click on the text it does NOTHING! You have to click on the photo, only where the text is not, to make the “On Click” action run. That is so counter intuitive. When in this view, clicking ANYWHERE on the photo, especially the Text should run the On Click action.

Help. Is there anything I can do? I like this layout best but not if clicking on the text will not produce the expected results.
