Conditionally Invoke new form on form save

I want to invoke an action when saving a form based on a field value inside the form. The action is to copy and edit the form just saved.
I have created the action and have set it inside the Behaviour tab of the the Form View UX.
It works…but only once.
Once i save the first form, the action executes and opens a new form. But in this new form, the conditional view doesn’t appear and on saving, returns to normal view.
Due to this issue, I can only do 2 entries back to back.

You may wish to share more details of the action configuration and the form and the field in the form ( you may of course hide any sensitive fields) so that the community could offer a better approach.
