Default Row Start - Deck or Table View

Is there a way to create a Deck or Table view that jumps to a specific row by default. Example: I want to show a list of birthdays sorted by date. When the view initially opens I want today’s or the next upcoming birthday to be at the top. However, I still want to be able to scroll to birthdays prior to that. Basically I want the default view to jump to the middle of the list.

You could create a new Virtual Column which calculates the difference between TODAY(), and the next (to avoid negative numbers) birthday. Then you can sort the view by that value.
