Detail View Reacting Oddly - Screen flashes and takes user back to original entry

I have a detail view with quick edit fields that appear when the appropriate “Type” enum option is selected.

This is a sporadic issue, but out of 3 options (In Progress, Pause or Complete), when the user presses Pause or Complete, the corresponding Fuel Cost, End Odometer etc appear. The issue is oddly the screen flashes and takes the user back to In Progress and doesn’t save what the user has entered making it difficult to input the Fuel Cost and End Odometer.

I don’t have any Resets on the table and can’t find what’s causing the issue

The client has provided a video but I’m unable to attach it here for reference.
