Draw tools for on photo diagramming?

once a photo is taken in the app, is there functionality that can allow drawing arrows, squares etc on the image including free hand pen or basic brush?
Perhaps typing text onto the image as well?

Yes. There is a Drawing column. It allows you to choose a picture for the background or you can add one using an expression.

It has very basic free form drawing capabilities only… in multiple colors - no pre-defined shapes.

what does it take to put in predefined shapes or a text tool ontop of a photo that was taken, is custom coding only available in google script or can we use other languages like C# python?

I am not aware of any way within AppSheet to be to be to allow a user to take a photo and then add text or predefined shapes.
