You can use Error_message_valid_if property to display a custom error message

This text is coming from the system when you are trying to save a record with the same key column’s value and I’m afraid you don’t have control for this text.

Can’t we have control of this error message provided we set a Valid_if expression like:

AND(TRUE,NOT(IN([ID],Tablename[ID])))

And then set an error text/message in Error_message_valid_if field?

Yes you can do that, but this system generated error message will still appear.
