Form linking formula Question

Hi, I’m trying to create a formula on the “rowkey” area of a form view. Basically the formula says, if I have a specific row on this table with X column empty, edit that row.

So far, so good, but when there is no such a row, my formula is return NULL to try to indicate that I want the form to create a new row (default behavior) but it does not work. it complains the my ID field is required (which it is, but I don’t know how to specify on this formula).

More context:
This form is the bottom bar and I want the users, when clicking on this button to be directed to the right line in the table

Has anyone tried something like that with success?

I’d appreciate any help.

It’s not possible to do directly what you want.

Thanks
