Format rules do not seem to apply to quick edit fields. I want to have an icon appear as my own indicator of a required field since I am not editing this row in a form view, I am using the quick edit feature to allow changing of values. The tiny * is not quite doing it for me.
Yes, this appears to be the case. It is a field in edit mode and format are not applied while editing. You might notice that for any other columns you have format rules for, the formats do not appear when in a Form view.
Yes, this is something we have been aware for some time but we havenโt found a good solution to it with our current design implementation. So we hope to address it someday but it will require deeper more extensive surgery to our form/view infrastructure.
