Format rules Not working for Quick Edit (Long Text) in Detail View

Hey Guys,

Anyone else experiencing issues with format rules and Quick Edit items in the Detail views?
Not able to get anything to show up for my (Long Text) Type Column.

Are there any workarounds?

Is this a bug?

Quick edit notes column in detail view.

In my format Rules I have Colors and an Icon in place, nothing is getting reflected to show this. Seems to be happening with quick edit columns.

Ah. Format rules generally don’t affect editable fields.

Are you able to elaborate on your use of “generally”? Are there conditions where they will affect quick edit fields?

If the editable column is of type Ref, format rules that apply to the referenced table will take effect.

It’s been awhile, but I think I recall format rules also being applied to Enum and EnumList columns, too.

Should be easy enough to experiment and find out for yourself.
