Go to Details not available in table view under dashboard?

I have a table view that works fine. When you click on a row, it sends you to the detailed view of that row. Then I created a dashboard view and inserted the table view into the dashboard. Now when I go to the table view within the dashboard and click on a row, nothing happens. How do I reinsert the go to details function to the table within the dashboard?
