Google Form data - how to populate a UniqueID field

Is it possible to generate an 8 digit UniqueID automatically for a Google Form submission?

It looks like Appsheet doesn’t allow a Unique ID to act as a Key when the UniqueID was generated by a formula in Google Sheets. Is there a workaround?
