Hi Community - new to App Sheets

I have a two column spreadsheet with a serial number in column 1 and a model number in column 2.

I want to create a search app.

User will enter either the serial number or phone number and the app will generate the corresponding value from Google sheet.

So if the user put is in the serial number the result will show the model number and vice versa.

Expect approximately 5,000 entries per column.

Can this be done?

Yes, it can be done easily. Just create an app using that spreadsheet as data source, and the sheet as table, then AppSheet usually automatically creates a UX view from that table, then you can use the magnifying glass icon on top of the screen which will activate search and you can type in either columns (serial or model number) and as you type it will filter the list for you. This is the most basic and easiest way you could looking up an item in a list.
