How to use a "child" card view to set a value in parent table?

I’m not sure if it’s possible but I had to ask!

I’m in a detailed view of my parent table
In the detailed view I have an action to go to another view in app, it’s a card view of a child table.
And when I click on one of the cards I want a behavior/action to set the marked card value in the parent tables same row and ref column as I just watched in detailed view.

I guess I need to create som more actions… Does anyone have a guide on how to?
