I created an app that captured photos along with some other data.

The customer did not specify a required resolution for the photos, so I left the upload at default (800x600).

Now that weโ€™ve been using the app for a couple of weeks, they realize that they need the higher resolution photos.

Those photos are still on the Android phones used to collect the data.

Is there a simple way to recover the high-resolution photos from the phone and replace them in the Google drive for the low-resolution uploaded photos? There are too many photos to manually perform this process.

Iโ€™m afraid you need to update the record through the app. If you replace the image with the same file name, it wonโ€™t help because it will read the image from the cache. If you rename the file totally and if you update the file name in your backend, it would work.
