I have a countif formula that works as I desire it only if it is dragged. =countif($D$2:D2,D2)

This labels the ORDER of occurrence of specific text from the other column.

How can I make appsheet do this?

I tried an array formula but it turns it into the number of occurrences or frequency.

This is not what I want.

for example what I want might look like this but without the drag

no that app doesn’t do what I’m trying - thanks though - I have seen that

I haven’t been able to solve this either and have just left it as a formula in my spreadsheet. Each new entry adds the formula for me (acting like a dragging down situation) and it has worked out okay.
